Perfect for the winter vacationer
There is a great ski area in Schoppernau
(www.diedamskopf.at). The Diedamskopfbahn valley station is 1200 meters from our house. The ski bus stop is 800 meters from our house (transfer – free). The bus takes you to the valley station or to the neighboring ski areas Salober – Hochtannberg (www.salober.com), Damüls (www.seilbahnendamuels.at) or Mellau (www.bergbahnenmellau.com).
In the village, right next to the valley station of the ski area, there is a very good children’s ski school. A 30-kilometer cross-country ski run runs directly behind our house, which you can use free of charge. For non-skiers there are a few kilometers of prepared hiking trails and various opportunities for tobogganing.
